- ECFE Classes are 1.5 - 2 hours in length. All classes begin with developmentally appropriate parent/child activities in an early childhood classroom. Parents then participate in a discussion led by a licensed parent educator either in the children's classroom or a separate parenting room. Though separating classes may be focused on a specific age group, all siblings between birth and kindergarten enrollment are welcome in these separating classes-all children attending (even lap babies) need to be registered.
Minneapolis ECFE builds and supports the skills and confidence of parents and strengthens families by providing safe educational environments that promote the healthy growth and development of families with children pre-birth to kindergarten. ECFE is a universal access program open to all families. ECFE helps to build community by connecting parents of infants, toddlers and preschoolers. ECFE is taught by certified, licensed early childhood and parent educators.
