​Give the gift of learning. Gift vouchers can be purchased in a variety of denominations and can be used for most Community Education Youth & Adult Enrichment classes. Some restrictions apply.

State-required classroom instruction that will prepare you for your permit test. 30-hour classes are offered after school and during the mornings and afternoons in the summer. Behind-the-wheel lessons are arranged and paid for separately. All prices are listed on a sliding fee scale. Contact the Community Education Youth & Adult Programs staff at your high school for schedules of upcoming classes.

Our programs serve youth in grades K-12 at Minneapolis Public School locations across the city to ensure all students have access to high quality programs. Community Education Youth Programs deliver a wide range of high-quality enrichment learning opportunities during out of school time (afterschool, release days, and summer). Community Education offerings support youth to develop strong peer relationships and foster new skills, through our intentional program design that fosters cultural identity, youth voice and leadership. In order to ensure that our high-quality enrichment classes are accessible to all families, Minneapolis Community Education is now offering fees on a sliding scale.
