Throughout the tour, Dave will share much information on the geography, history, culture, nature and contemporary life in the north country.This region is one of the premier tour destinations in America. Come with us as we explore and learn about this wonderful part of America. Tour Highlights: * Pattison State Park Short walk and Wisconsin's highest waterfall * Richard Bong WWII Heritage Center & Lunch in Superior, WI * Ammicon State Park * Travel along scenic Wisconsin Highway 13 with views of Lake Superior and some of the most rustic towns in Wisconsin & views of the Apostle Islands * Red Cliffs Indian Reservation Visit * Tour of Ashland, Wisconsin. * Narrated Boat Tour of The Apostle Islands with stops at some of the islands * Rittenhouse Inn for Elegant Lunch * Northern Great Lakes Museum and Visitor Center * Boat Ride to Madeline Island: Short tour and free time to explore the shops. * Lunch on your own in Bayfield and time to explore this historic town. * Travel back to Minneapolis through rural Wisconsin learning about the countryside and the cities along the way All adults 21+ are welcome to join the tour! Price includes: Coach Bus Transportation, 2 Nights Lodging at the Best Western-The Hotel Chequamegon in Ashland, Coffee/Bakery Stop, Breakfast at Hotel, Lunches on Monday & Tuesday, all Scheduled Tours & Admissions NOTE: Meals on your own - Monday & Tuesday dinners in Ashland, Wednesday lunch in Bayfield & stop for bathrooms and snack on return to Minneapolis; 7:45 am Board Coach Bus at Southwest High School 8:00 am Bus Departs The coach bus will board at Southwest High School - 3414 W. 47th Street, Mpls, MN. Meet bus at the Chowen Ave. (west side) parking lot between 46th & 47th streets NOTE: Any cancelations after June 27th will be refunded less $25 if we can fill the spot from our wait list.     Personalize your space with wall art, jewelry boxes, mirror frames and picture collages. To ensure that our high-quality enrichment classes are accessible to all families, Minneapolis Community Education is now offering fees on a sliding scale. The different prices reflect the average cost of offering a class as well as a discounted option and options that help us cover our administrative costs. Fees cover instructor pay, most class supplies, program materials, marketing and scholarships. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay. As always, we will continue to offer additional financial assistance upon request. When families participate as they are able, in all levels of our sliding scale, the whole program becomes self-sustaining. Thank you for your consideration as you sign up for summer programs!
