    Learn to work with alcohol inks while creating functional items such as planters, tumblers and mugs! Our instructor will introduce you to alcohol inks and practice on Yupo paper and tile before you design your own functional item of your choice.     Arepas Bar owner, Soleil Ramirez, will teach you how to make authentic and mouthwatering arepas venezolanas. This dish is naturally gluten free and can be made vegan. Participants can choose between making arepas with pulled chicken or veggies with beans. By taking this class you are supporting local a restaurant that has been affected by COVID and the damage along Lake Street. Participants can choose to take the class in Spanish or English. The class fee includes all ingredients for making ten arepas. Class video will be provided before pick up date. This class does not qualify for any discounts as most of class fee goes directly to Arepa Bar. Please note: Pick up for November class will be on Friday, November 5, Saturday, November 6 or Sunday, November 7 from 11am to 6pm.     Even as winter approaches, it is never too early to start thinking about backpacking. Learn basic skills for your first backpacking trip before hitting the trail. Learn from a seasoned backpacker who is a Wilderness First Responder how to choose a trail, pack a backpack, set up a tent, use a backcountry stove and water filter, use a gear list (provided), read a map, protect food and maintain gear. This orientation is required prior to any on-trail 1st-Time Backpacking Trip with Backpack The Trails LLC. Please note that taking this class does not commit any attendees to sign up for a trip.
