  • Foreign Policy Discussion: Middle East Realignment (Roosevelt 55+)

The United States and Middle East are at a crossroads. In spite of a reduced presence in the Middle East, the U.S. still has significant national interests there and the area is a key arena for global power politics. Can the U.S. continue to defend its interests in the Middle East and globally with a lower level of military and political involvement, or should it recommit to a leading role in the region? Through the nationwide Great Decisions program, learn more about vital foreign policy issues facing our country. The sessions feature lectures and lively discussions with local college professors and other guest speakers. This program is offered at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1200 Marquette Ave and the Washburn Library, 5244 Lyndale Ave S. This event is co-sponsored with the Westminster Magnet program and Friends of Hennepin County Library. Register online or call 612.668.4828.
