Minneapolis Public Schools

Students will learn arrangements of contemporary pop songs and perform them at the end of the after school programming cycle. Special emphasis will be placed on breath control, pitch, collaborative singing and performance etiquette on a stage. We’re going to have so much fun! This class is funded through Extended Learning through Minneapolis Public Schools. Every student who is in an Extended Learning class after school must have a Continuous Learning Plan (CLP) that will need to be signed by a Parent/Guardian and returned. Your child's after school teacher will send this form home with your child the first week of class. Instructor:  Liz Collin This class begins on February 4th and ends on May 14th (14th weeks).

Transform into magical creatures and storybook characters while learning theatrical makeup techniques, face painting, and special effects. Grades are the year your student will be entering in the Fall. Community Education uses a sliding scale model for program fees so our summer programs can be financially sustainable and more equitable. The different prices reflect the average cost of offering a class as well as discounted options and options that help us cover our administrative costs. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay. Join the Technical Crew of Minneapolis Community Education's production of Hairspray - The Musical After registering, you will be contacted by the production team in. Get involved with scenery, props, costumes, lighting, sound, hair & make-up, stage management of front-of-house. Adults of all ages and youth entering grades 11th grade or older are welcome to be on the crew pending a conversation with the Stage Manger or Tech Director.
