Nature In Focus: Designing Low Maintenance Gardens (Roosevelt 55+)

Lifelong Learning 55+ / Adventures in Learning -
Lifelong Learning 55+ Winter 2026

Native plants are great for wildlife, and you can design a native garden that is beautiful and low maintenance as well. Learn about species that would be good candidates for a native garden and how to balance considerations such as soil and light requirements, plant size, and flowering time.

Join a Kroening naturalist for an opportunity to go in-depth on a particular topic and learn more about the natural world. Each program will include natural history information, hands-on discovery, and an outdoor component. This series covers a wide variety of topics: choose your favorite or try them all to learn something new.

Activities may include walking on uneven ground. Ages 18+
