When spring is near, that's maple syrup time at the Audubon Center of the North Woods! Shake off your cabin fever, welcome in the changing season and join us for a full pancake brunch and hands-on maple syruping program. Learn which trees are maple trees, and the history & process of making maple syrup. Help us tap some maple trees, collect & haul sap, and observe the sap being processed in to liquid gold. Barns will be open to visit the raptors, amphibians and Mike the Porcupine. Next stop is the Sandstone History and Art Museum plus a bus city tour by a local guide including the quarry and Robinson Park/Kettle River. Our coach bus will board from Southwest High School's Chowen Ave. parking lot at 8:00 am and return at 5:30 pm. Price includes transportation, treats on the bus, full brunch and program at Audubon Center, Sandstone History Center and local tour. Ages 5+. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must register.
