Minneapolis Kids provides year-round, fee-based school-age care for families with youth enrolled in High Five/Minneapolis Kids Jr through 6th grade during the school year (entering K-7 during the summer).

Give the gift of learning. Gift vouchers can be purchased in a variety of denominations and can be used for most Community Education Youth & Adult Enrichment classes. Some restrictions apply.
Get certified in American Red Cross Lifeguarding; First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Lifeguard. This course requires a seven-hour online portion that must be completed before the first day of class. All class sessions must be attended in order to receive certification.

Age Prerequisite: 15 years of age and older
Skill Prerequisites:
* Swim 300 yards continuously using front crawl and/or breaststroke
* Tread water 2 minutes using only legs
* Complete a timed event within 1 minute 40 seconds
* Swim 20 yards, starting in the water
* Surface dive into 7 to 10 feet deep water to retrieve a 10 pound object; swim on your back with object to your returning point
* Exit the water without using a ladder or steps
