Minneapolis Kids provides year-round, fee-based school-age care for families with youth enrolled in High Five/Minneapolis Kids Jr through 6th grade during the school year (entering K-7 during the summer).

Since 1990, Orfield Laboratories, Inc. has resided in the historic Sound 80 Studios building, which has since been recognized as “The World’s First Digital Recording Studio” (Guinness, 2005). Founded in 1970 by Tom Jung and Herb Pilhofer, the studio is best known for recording Bob Dylan’s “Blood on the Tracks”, Cat Stevens’ “Izitso”, and Lipps Inc.’s “Funkytown.” Sound 80 is also known as the studio where Prince recorded his demos that launched his career and contract with Warner Bros. Since acquiring Sound 80, Orfield Labs has maintained the studios, which are historically correct to date. In 2020, Sound 80 was placed on the National Register of Historic Places
