    Come meet up with other adults who enjoy roller skating for open skate nights at Lake Harriet Upper! Enjoy DJ Nickster's mix of old-school and contemporary music; our lighting and sound system give the wood-floored gym a real roller rink vibe, so bring some friends and have a great night of skating at an affordable price! Please note that skaters participate at their own risk and should bring their own roller skates and protective gear. MPS and Community Education are not responsible for any injury that occurs while participating in Community Ed events.

    Backpacking (Ella Baker)

    Learn basic skills for your first backpacking trip before hitting the trail. Learn from a seasoned backpacker who is a Wilderness First Responder how to choose a trail, pack a backpack, set up a tent, use a backcountry stove and water filter, use a gear list (provided), read a map, protect food and maintain gear. This orientation is required prior to any on-trail first-time backpacking trip with Backpack The Trails LLC. Please note that taking this class does not commit any attendees to sign up for a trip.

    Ping pong, or table tennis, is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world—it is even in the Olympics. Play in the round-robin format while having fun and staying fit in this fast-paced workout. Previous experience required. Must bring your own paddles.
