Bodyshaping (Seward)
Enjoy a high-energy workout with fun and lively music. Bodyshaping is a system of strength training and flexibility exercises that combines the best elements of free weights and yoga. Use of your own exercise/yoga mat and hand weights suggested. -
Boxing Circuit Workout (North at Laney)
Get a great cardio workout while punching your way into shape. Learn to jab, upper cut and throw hooks in this non-person-to-person contact class. Participants will be able to make contact with punching bags and participate in padwork with the coach. -
Latin Dance Party (Lake Harriet Upper)
Join us for a great dance workout with elements of Salsa, Bachata, merengue, and Reggaetón. Instructor Mikha Dominguez will lead this fun, fast-paced class with great music, disco lights, and lots of laughs! Wear workout clothing and bring a water bottle. Please note the change from the original class times printed in the fall catalog. -
Move2Music (formerly Classic Nia) (Lake Harriet Upper)
Expanded sessions of holistic movement to music, exploring the lifelong (and life extending) benefits of connecting aerobic activity to mindful, dance/music-driven exercise. Eclectic playlist, appropriate for all ages and movement levels. You will improve your movement skill set while developing a deeper understanding of how simple, efficient fitness benefits EVERYbody. -
Open Track (Edison)
Run hard, turn left! Hop on the Edison track and run to your heart's content. Run your own workout or use one of the provided workouts. All are welcome--all paces belong on the track! This class is priced on a sliding fee scale. Please pay the price you are able. This helps to ensure that Community Education can provide quality opportunities for all of our participants. -
Roller Blading: Open Skate (Ella Baker)
Get your cardio on with rollerblading/roller skating fun at Ella Baker. Some may remember the times when you could do that at the old Metrodome, but here you can do it at a school and you won't get in trouble. Participants must bring their own rollerblades/roller skates. Helmets and pad are recommended. Open roller blading is a social course with no instructor. -
