Cardio Dance Jam (Ella Baker)
Get out of the cold and dance with us! Cardio Dance Jam is a dance fitness program that uses upbeat Top-40 music and easy to follow dance moves to create a party atmosphere in every class. This class is scheduled to take place in person. If we are unable to hold classes in person or are limited in what locations we can use, this class will be moved to an online platform at the same date and time. In that event, a Community Education staff will share information about attending through an online platform. -

Goju-Kai Karate-Do (Ella Baker)
Goju-Kai Karate is a traditional Japanese martial art originating in Okinawa. Led by Barry Crone (3rd degree black belt, trained under Sensei John Linhoff, 5th degree black belt) this structured class will safely teach you basic karate stances, strikes and movement, progressing to more advanced techniques and forms, while learning dojo etiquette and culture. Students will be barefoot in class and should wear loose, comfortable exercise clothes. You will have the option to purchase a gi (karate uniform) to wear to class. All levels of athletic and martial art ability are welcome. -

Bring a small pair of light weights to get stronger and improve your cardio. This class includes a warmup, strength and HIIT training, and a cool down with core and mindfulness time. Modifications are offered for different skill levels and all you need is a small space and some light weights. -

Intro to Boxing Techniques (North)
This class is for those that want to learn about the different techniques of boxing. Learn how to jab, upper cut and throw hooks both left and right handed. Have no fear no one will be punching you and we will not make you go nine rounds against anyone in class. Sign up for this class to challenge yourself maybe challenge a friend to attend as well. We will provide you with the proper gear to make this class safe and fun. We have boxing gloves to fit all sizes. This class will be a workout for you so be ready to become a better you! -

Advance in your Pilates discipline through the practice of new movements to increase your strength, control and stamina. Try new challenging positions that involve multiple points of focus and control. Prerequisite: Pilates 1 or previous experience. -

Open Gym: Weight Training (Northeast)
Use the equipment available in the Northeast Weight Room. Class meets without an instructor and you must sign a liability waiver to participate. -
Self Defense: Jiu-Jitsu Techniques (Northeast)
Come learn self-defense with Jiu-Jitsu techniques and how to keep your body safe in all situations. No striking or kicking is needed to be in control of yourself and your environment. Jiu-Jitsu is the art of a smaller person taking control of a much larger, stronger, and faster person. -
