Please choose either the Monday OR the Wednesday class for your student. Students who are signed up for both will be asked to choose one or the other. Disclaimer: D&D is a game that entails making decisions regarding battles, fighting, and language around weapons. Measures have been taken to avoid these when possible, but will not be eliminated from game play. After-school schedule: 2:35-2:50- School dismissal/attendance 2:55-3:10- Snack 3:10-3:40- Optional recess time (at class’ discretion) 3:45-4:45- Programming 4:50-5:05- Dismissal at MAIN ENTRANCE (change from last year) Last year's after-school program taught us a lot about the best way to run program for students! Please note the schedule above. This year, we will be adding an optional recess time for classes to get out some energy before programming. We hope this will help encourage students to communicate with staff about their needs and increase attention spans during program time. Parent pickup will now be located at the MAIN ENTRANCE of Armatage. More information about the new parent pickup procedure will be sent home with after-school confirmations. In order to ensure that our high-quality enrichment classes are accessible to all families, Minneapolis Community Education is now offering fees on a sliding scale. We're moving to a sliding scale model for program fees so our afterschool programs can be financially sustainable and more equitable. The different prices reflect the average cost of offering a class as well as discounted options and options that help us cover our administrative costs. Fees cover instructor pay, class supplies, program materials, marketing and scholarships. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay or select the no-cost option. We have always offered partial and full scholarships upon request. By more clearly articulating our lower cost options, we have removed the barrier that some may have felt in making these requests. When families participate as they are able, in all levels of our sliding scale, the whole program becomes self-sustaining.
