Minneapolis Kids provides year-round, fee-based school-age childcare for families with youth enrolled in High Five/Minneapolis Kids Jr through 5th grade during the school year (entering grades K-7 during the summer).

Whether you are going to technical school, community college or a 4 year college or university you need to prepare. This class offers ideas and strategies around preparing, selecting and paying for any of those post-secondary education choices. We will talk through the 3 steps of preparing for life after high school – selecting the right school, academics to consider and how to put together your finances. This class is for anyone with kids young or older that are planning to go through post-secondary education. Taught by two parents who have been through it, planning and saving for this time has never been more important than it is now.
Marcia Alexander is a financial advisor with Thrivent Financial. She has worked for over 18 years in the financial industry with personal and business clients of many colors, sizes and cultures. As someone who was raised in Minneapolis, she looks forward to helping bring financial education in a variety of topics to Minneapolis Community Ed.
