  • ECFE at Fellowship Missionary (Birth to Kindergarten) Separating

    This is a separating class (child and parent spend time together and apart). Minneapolis ECFE in partnership with Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church and Cityview Community School are excited to offer this semester long ECFE class for birth-5 year olds and their families. This class is open to the community. Sibling care will be provided for families that have children who are school age. Cityview Community School will provide grab and go dinners for families. This class will include a parent and child interaction time, circle time, and a parent discussion. Parent discussion will include topics such as child development, school readiness, guiding behavior, and sibling relationships. There is no fee for this class.

    This is a separating class (child and parent spend time together and apart). This course, in partnership with Early Childhood Special Education, will explore social communication skills, strategies, and more. Families will learn more about the autism community, resources and supports in the metro area. This is a class for families who would like to learn meaningful ways to encourage their child’s social and communication development. Siblings are welcome.

Children and parents enjoy time together singing, playing and learning. During parent discussion time, the early childhood staff engage the children in planned activities while parents gather nearby, in the same room. Parent topics include child development, guiding behavior, sleep and nutrition in addition to parent joys and concerns.
