CAHOOTS Math and Language Arts (entering Kindergarten)CAHOOTSCAHOOTS is a 6-week summer correspondence program (8 weeks for grades 1-6) designed to reduce summer learning loss with an engaging, reflective approach to learning. Participants complete their work at their own pace at home. Youth who follow the schedule and complete all weekly correspondence are invited to participate in a virtual celebration event in August. *All books will be mailed to your home so please make sure your address is current. How the CAHOOTS program works: Workbooks will be mailed to registered families the first week of June. Books will be mailed to the address provided via online registration. Program weeks are June 21st -August 13th. Youth complete one lesson in their workbook per week. Families or youth check their own answers online found on our CAHOOTS website. After completing each lesson, youth complete one of the reflection worksheets and mail it to 1250 W Broadway Ave., Minneapolis MN 55411 Reflection sheets are designed to give youth a chance to apply their skills through open-ended questions. Youth are paired with a Reflection Buddy who sends responses for each lesson. Youth who are on track to complete all 6 reflections qualify to attend the end of the program virtual celebration event in August. Email invites will be sent to students/families. Please make sure your email address is updated. Enroll in the grade your student will be going into for fall 2021. **New this year- a CAHOOTS specific website with answer keys, schedule and engaging content.
