From "Lighted Schoolhouses" to Centers of Lifelong Learning (Pratt, Lucy Laney, Henry & Andersen)This year marks the 50th Anniversary of Minneapolis Community Education. Come celebrate with us as guest presenters Howard Root and Leon Oman tell the story of how the Community Education movement began and how it has changed and grown over the years. You will also be invited to share stories of your favorite community education classes and programs, and how they have impacted your life. Refreshments will be served and all participants will receive a $10 coupon toward a future Minneapolis Community Education class. Walk the Camino (Jefferson)The Camino de Santiago is an almost five-hundred mile long path in northern Spain that many explore as a retreat for spiritual growth as well as personal reflection. Margarita Alvarez will share beautiful photos of Spain and tell her personal story of walking the Camino last September, including how she planned for the trip, the people and places she encountered on the path, and what this journey meant to her.
