Minneapolis Kids provides year-round, fee-based school-age childcare for families with youth enrolled in High Five/Minneapolis Kids Jr through 5th grade during the school year (entering grades K-7 during the summer).

Break through writer’s block, procrastination, fear and self-sabotage with this affirming five-week class full of writing prompts, exercises, and tools for a creative process. We’ll spend much of our class time actively writing and sharing our work; feel free to come in with a project you’re working on, or with a blank slate! Taught by actor/writer/storyteller Amy Salloway.
Actor/writer/educatorAmy Salloway is the creator of the award-winning, autobiographical touring solo plays "Does This Monologue Make Me Look Fat?," “So Kiss Me Already, Herschel Gertz!,” and “Circumference,” as well as the two-person show “Entwined”. Amy has contributed stories to MPR's "In the Loop" radio show, CBC radio's "Definitely Not The Opera" (kinda the Canadian equivalent of "This American Life"), and the national podcast "Risk!" She teaches memoir, creative writing and storytelling through Minneapolis Community Ed and The Story Studio, and performs regularly on just about every spoken-word-inclusive stage in the Twin Cities.
