  • In the Library!

    Join us in the library for after-school fun! Grades 1-2 meet and play with children from different classrooms & across grade levels in the library. We play games, use computers, read books, make art projects, and more. This class offers unstructured play in a safe environment so students can relax and unwind after a long day of learning. Media teacher Ms. Carter will be leading this class. 
  • Mess to the Max! with Kidcreate Studio

    We will be maximizing the mess to make this art class the very best! Get excited to paint with plaster, sculpt with gooey gunk, make papier mache puppies, and fling paint like Jackson Pollock. We will even learn some cool stuff along the way. These projects are so messy your mom would never let you make them at home!  *Please note that this class ends Wednesday, December 13th
  • Physical Education with Active Solutions

    Wenonah Physical Education Teacher Mr. Pritchard have taken the best of Physical Education and created a after school course your child(ren) will not forget. This class will take place in the Wenonah Gymnasium and outside at the Minneapolis Parks. Your child(ren) will experience 3-4 different activities during each session. Activities include lifelong sport, recreation and fitness: most all individual and team sports, rope jumping, racket games, track and field, kickball, tag games, ultimate frisbee, capture the flag, frisbee golf, four square, floor hockey, bowling, volleyball, lord of the rings, pin guard, tangle town, mini mighty stations, pits and allies, Danish baseball and many others. Teachers also incorporate math, reading, health, nutrition and wellness into their lessons. Walking field trips may include hiking along Minneapolis Parks trails to Lake Nokomis. This class is perfect for the child that needs more movement in their lives! Lessons are designed to keep kids engaged in learning activities and to keep their heart rates elevated. Character building, cooperative skills, individual success and safety are all emphasized. Please bring: Shorts, t-shirts, gym shoes, sweat pants/sweat shirts and a water bottle.
  • Scouting - Northern Star Council, Cub Scouts

    In the Scouting program kids will have fun while learning about nature, first aid, what to do in an emergency, fun science activities, group games, and more. Kids will play games, do activities, make crafts, learn and have fun! Kids will have the opportunity to come to Base Camp for archery and rock climbing in the fall, a winter day camp, and spring Pinewood Derby. Program led by Northern Star Council, Cub Scouts. Open to all students. 
  • Spanish (Wenonah)

    Join us in the fun adventure of learning Spanish! We combine games, songs, books and crafts to mix learning with fun! We teach the basics; your children will be learning useable vocabulary that will be stuck in their head all session long. Whether you're looking to start a great language base or have your child brush up on what they already know, this will be the fun class for you!
  • Team Sports with Active Solutions

    Wenonah Physical Education Teacher Mr. Pritchard have taken the best of Physical Education and created a after school Indoor Team Sports course your child(ren) will not forget. This class will take place in the Wenonah gymnasium and your child(ren) will experience 2-3 different activities during each session. Activities will include: arena football, basketball, Danish baseball, floor hockey, indoor kickball, indoor lacrosse, indoor soccer, team handball, volleyball and many others. We will also be playing the Wenonah games like: Capture the Flag, Lord of the Rings and Pin Dodge Games. Teachers also incorporate math, reading, health, nutrition and wellness into their lessons. This class is perfect for the child that needs more movement in their lives! Lessons are designed to keep kids engaged in learning activities and to keep their heart rates elevated. Character building, cooperative skills, individual success and safety are all emphasized. Please bring: Shorts, t-shirts, gym shoes, sweat pants/sweat shirts and a water bottle.
