This class is for those who are newly diagnosed with Alzheimer's or MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment) Active support and guidance for Alzheimer’s patients often doesn’t begin until the patient is working with a care facility, years down the road. People newly diagnosed with Alzheimer's are left to fend for themselves. Diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Bill was shocked at the lack of support from medical and insurance providers for diagnosed sufferers of Alzheimer's. This presentation is his effort to share his experience. He will discuss basic FAQ's about Alzheimer's, share tips and tricks for living with the disease, and suggest concrete work-arounds to stave off the impact of the most common symptoms, for as long as possible. This program is offered the Washburn Library, 5244 Lyndale Ave S.
