Minneapolis Kids provides year-round, fee-based school-age childcare for families with youth enrolled in High Five/Minneapolis Kids Jr through 5th grade during the school year (entering grades K-7 during the summer).

Here's your chance to spend some uninterrupted time together participating in toddler-friendly activities that support growth and development.
Give the gift of learning. Gift vouchers can be purchased in a variety of denominations and can be used for most Community Education Youth & Adult Enrichment classes. Some restrictions apply.
Work with your dog on basic life skills using a rewards-based learning style. Skills such as sit, stay, and come, as well as how to walk nicely on a leash, not jump-up and impulse control. Your dog’s current vaccination records including Rabies, Bordetella and DHLP will need to be presented on the first night of class. Up to two people can attend with every dog registered.
Important Notice for this Class: To support all community members and staff who have chemical sensitivity and fragrance allergies, please refrain from wearing scents to the Roosevelt Dog Obedience class.
This class is priced on a sliding fee scale. Please pay the price you are able. This helps to ensure that Community Education can provide quality opportunities for all of our participants.
Lisa Skelton works with Hippie Dog Animal Behavior & Training, is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. Lisa connects people and dogs together with The Humane Hierarchy of Dog Training, positive reinforcement training, and with love. Lisa believes each dog is unique and enjoys finding creative solutions that can be tailored to individuals and their families.
Before becoming a dog trainer, Lisa had worked for animal rescue organizations, doggie daycares and in pet boarding. She frequently fosters dogs through local animal rescue organizations and enjoys preparing them for their forever homes. Lisa teaches obedience to dogs of all ages, sizes and dispositions in the classroom, as well as, in the homes on a 1-on-1 basis. Lisa shares her home with a rescued mutt named Roscoe, a “foster-failed” Chihuahua named Ermina and an elderly, buff tabby named Josie.
