Walk along with a Certified Forest Therapy Guide connect with nature at Silverwood Park in St. Anthony. Settle in the gifts of nature and accept the healing and restoration that Nature is ready to offer you. This will be a slow-paced easy walk—all on level, safe surfaces-through nature and with support to connect with the trees, sunlight, water and trees and animals. Dress for the weather. Wear comfortable shoes. Bring something to drink and an open heart!

Kristen Mastel

Head Librarian & Curator, Andersen Horticultural Library

Kristen Mastel is the Head Librarian and Curator at Andersen Horticultural Library at the University of Minnesota Arboretum. Formerly, she was the liaison to the College of Continuing and Professional Studies, Extension, Agricultural Education, Communcation and Marketing, and the Institute on the Environment. She received her Masters of Library Science from Indiana University, and her undergraduate Bachlor of Arts from the University of Minnesota- Morris. Her research areas of interest include instruction, information literacy, outreach and analog data. Kristen is a Past President of the Minnesota Library Association and the United States Agricultural Information Network. She is the Vice President of the Council on Botanical and Horticultural Libraries. Her strengths are: empathy, harmony, adaptability, connectedness, and woo! She leads stressbuster workshops that involve aromatherapy, forest bathing, horticultural therapy, and holistic wellness practices.
