Adventures With Y Mentors (Waite Park Gr. 1-5)

A team of College Y Mentors will be coming weekly to our after school program with a new adventure each week. Each week we will have an opportunity to use our imaginations creating all kinds of fun activities, which could include creating and playing games, travel, nature, music science, art, and even learning how to grow your brain! This is a grant funded club that is $0 for participants.
  • Musical Theater of MN (Waite Park Gr. 1-5)

Note: This is a 16 week combined Winter/Spring Session. Class Fee reflects the cost of 2 sessions combined. This program will enhance confidence and allow children to embrace their love for the arts. We will work on dance, voice, and theater techniques through a series of different exercises and games. You will learn and rehearse songs from well-known musicals such as Hamilton, The Lion King, Aladdin, leading to a mini in-class performance on the last day. Note: Community Education uses a sliding scale model for program fees so our afterschool programs can be financially sustainable and more equitable. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay. By more clearly articulating our lower cost options, we have removed the barrier that some may have felt in making scholarship requests. When families participate at the higher price levels, they help make the program more sustainable. Pricing Scale: Option 1 - Class Fee - covers staffing and supply costs Option 2 - Higher price level 1- supports sustainable programming & scholarships Option 3 - Higher price level 2 - supports sustainable programming & scholarships Option 4 - Partial Scholarship price Option 5 - Full Scholarship price
