For millennia, artists have tried to capture the many forms and expressions of love. From the divine love felt during a moment of spiritual awakening to the longing to be close to a lover; from the turbulence of heartbreak to the love a parent feels for their child or the affinity one feels for their home or country. Throughout time and across cultures, love has played a powerful role in our human experience.
Explore this powerful emotion on The Compassion Museum’s new, 90-minute tour at Mia. We’ll look at art through the lens of love, uncover fascinating stories and surprising research and witness the profound role of love in shaping our lives and experiences.
Whether you’re celebrating or boycotting this holiday of love, you just might gain a new appreciation for this incredible, universal emotion.
