This class will include engaging lessons from a naturalist from the Minneapolis Parks where students will explore furs and skulls, investigate tracks and scat, use tools to take a closer look at wildlife, and meet live animals up close. Most days the class will walk to Loring Park, spending part of the time outside and part of the time inside the park building (weather permitting). Exploring the unique places in Loring Park will be a big part of the fun! Taught by Carmen Paucar & a naturalist from the Minneapolis Parks & Recreation Board.

Community Education is moving to a sliding scale model for program fees so our after school programs can be financially sustainable and more equitable. The different prices reflect the average cost of offering a class as well as discounted options and options that help us cover our administrative costs. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay or select the no cost option. If you cannot afford the material fee for a class, please reach out to Amy Brockman at 612-668-3618 to request a scholarship.
