Active Solutions powered by InSports (Formerly PE Adventures) has taken the best of Physical Education and created a after school class your child(ren) will love. This class will take place in the Lake Harriet Lower gymnasium with Mr. Erlandson. Activities include: indoor Physical Education and Team Sports. Teachers also incorporate math, reading, health, nutrition and wellness into their lessons. This class is perfect for the child that needs more movement in their lives! Lessons are designed to keep kids engaged in learning activities and to keep their heart rates elevated. Character building, cooperative skills, individual success and safety are all emphasized.
In order to ensure that our high-quality enrichment classes are accessible to all families, Minneapolis Community Education is now offering fees on a sliding scale. We're moving to a sliding scale model for program fees so our afterschool programs can be financially sustainable and more equitable. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay or select the no-cost option. We have always offered partial and full scholarships upon request. By more clearly articulating our lower cost options, we have removed the barrier that some may have felt in making these requests. When families participate as they are able, in all levels of our sliding scale, the whole program becomes self-sustaining.
