Minneapolis Kids provides year-round, fee-based school-age childcare for families with youth enrolled in High Five/Minneapolis Kids Jr through 5th grade during the school year (entering grades K-7 during the summer).
Classes for Summer Youth Programs will be visible and open for registration February 23 at 5pm.

Here's your chance to spend some uninterrupted time together participating in toddler-friendly activities that support growth and development.
Give the gift of learning. Gift vouchers can be purchased in a variety of denominations and can be used for most Community Education Youth & Adult Enrichment classes. Some restrictions apply.
Learn the basics of slab and coil building. Demos of each hand building method will be shown and projects to get you started will be provided, or build your own creations with the demonstrated methods. You will get to work with 25 lbs pounds of clay over six weeks. Please bring something to write with and write on, like paper or a sketchbook, for the first class. All other tools provided. The last class in the session is glazing day, if you miss it your projects will remain unglazed.
The class will be mostly taught in English. La instructora puede hablar un poco de español. Las demostraciones son en la mayor parte visual. Bienvenido si no hablas inglés.
The only pick up time is 5:30pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday May 28. This will be the only time to pick up your work, please make arrangements for someone to come for you if you cannot make it.

Joan has experience teaching wheel throwing and ceramics at Hopkins High School. She also enjoys biking, swimming, gardening and volunteering.
