Minneapolis Kids provides year-round, fee-based, school-age childcare for families with youth enrolled in High Five/Minneapolis Kids Jr through 5th grade during the school year (entering grades K-7 during the summer).
Classes for Summer Youth Programs will be visible and open for registration February 23 at 5pm.

No studio? No problem! Kitchen Table Ceramics proves you don’t need a fancy setup to create beautiful pottery. Learn how to create a compact, affordable workspace at home, explore hand-building techniques, and find budget-friendly supplies. We’ll break down the essentials—clay types, glazes, firing options, and key safety tips—so you can confidently craft from your own table. Whether you're a total beginner or a DIY maker, this class gives you everything you need to start creating ceramics at home. Come play with clay, get messy, and have fun making with me!
*Note: I’ll provide you with all the knowledge and experience you need to create your own home set up and the clay to make a couple projects. You get to source, build, and customize your tools for working at your own kitchen table.
Bri Smejkal is an artist who has worked in a variety of mediums: ceramics, painting, drawing, digital illustration, photography, woodworking, metalworking, printmaking, fiber arts, and beyond. Her educational background includes a BFA in Sculpture from Minneapolis College of Art and Design, as well as a Software Engineering Certificate from Hackbright Academy. By day she is a Software Engineer specializing in creative and 3D technology. Her core traits include curiosity, innovation, finding common ground, community, and encouraging wellbeing in others.
