ALC Puzzle Paradise (Math Skills) with Ms. Eystad

After School Youth Classes / Keewaydin -
After School Youth Enrichment Spring 2025

Join Ms. Eystad in her puzzle paradise. Jigsaw puzzles are beneficial for math skills because they significantly improve spatial reasoning, which is crucial for understanding geometric concepts, by requiring kids to visualize how pieces fit together, mentally rotate shapes, and identify patterns - all key elements in mathematical thinking. Additionally, the act of solving a jigsaw puzzle encourages analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities, which are fundamental to math skills!

Community Education uses a sliding scale model for program fees so our afterschool programs can be financially sustainable and more equitable. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay. By more clearly articulating our lower cost options, we have removed the barrier that some may have felt in making scholarship requests. When families participate at the higher price levels, they help make the program more sustainable. Extended Learning (ALC) classes are free.
