After a career as a small business owner and Area Director for Boy Scouts of America supervising 12 scout councils in 5 states, he retired and attended the Nobel conf. at Gustavus Adolphus College on the health of our oceans.
Inspired Alan to took an on-line college course from MIT, on the Science of Climate Change, and begin giving public education talks on the subject for The Climate Reality Project, Rotary and Citizens Climate Lobby, speaking on Climate Change, Impacts, Solutions and what each of us can do for our own and future generations and as a public education
