Digital Art: Video and Photography (Waite Park Gr. 3-5)

In this class, 3rd-5th graders will get comfortable taking super cool photos together using lighting tools and editing software, then explore making digital video and photo art with the computer. Students will work individually and collaboratively, using their own dreams as the story line for mixed media movies. Note: Community Education uses a sliding scale model for program fees so our afterschool programs can be financially sustainable and more equitable. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay. By more clearly articulating our lower cost options, we have removed the barrier that some may have felt in making scholarship requests. When families participate at the higher price levels, they help make the program more sustainable. Pricing Scale: Class Fee - covers staffing and supply costs Higher price levels 1 & 2 - supports sustainable programming & scholarships Partial Scholarship price Full Scholarship price

Twin Cities Chess Club (Waite Park Gr. 1-5)

Join us after school and learn the basics of chess or challenge yourself with some in-house tourneys! Twin Cities Chess Club (TCCC) is an organization dedicated to meeting the needs of today's chess students. https://www.twincitieschessclub.com/ If you register after 10/1, your student might not have a bus route for the first week or two of programming, and would be required to be picked up or walk home.
