Learn about all the technical theater elements, including lights, sound, set, props, and stage management. Then, practice your skills as you serve on the tech crew for the two fully-staged live performances on August 1st and 2nd. To ensure that our high-quality enrichment classes are accessible to all families, Minneapolis Community Education offers fees on a sliding scale. The class fee is the average cost of offering a class. Families are asked to pick the class fee or the price that they are able to pay. Learn the basics of performance and learn to read a script. We will learn some scenes and songs from the musical Shrek Jr. In order to ensure that our high-quality enrichment classes are accessible to all families, Minneapolis Community Education is now offering fees on a sliding scale. We're moving to a sliding scale model for program fees so our youth programs can be financially sustainable and more equitable. The different prices reflect the average cost of offering a class as well as discounted options and options that help us cover our administrative costs. Fees cover instructor pay, class supplies, program materials, marketing and scholarships. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay. As always, we will continue to offer full scholarships upon request. When families participate as they are able, in all levels of our sliding scale, the whole program becomes self-sustaining.
