(We do not have access to the suits that students can use in gym class. Students will swim from 4:10-5:00PM, then change and play table games. Explore the power of "yes, and..." with Improv -- the foundation of Theater! Improvisational games and exercises support student collaboration, communication skills, creativity, and - most importantly - the imagination! Students will get to demonstrate all that they've learned at the end of the session with a small show. Working together with LEGO building elements, motors, and sensors, students will build various robot prototypes. Students will program these robots to move, react, and make sounds, applying their skills to solve design challenges. This class runs Session 1 (October 21 - December 16) and Session 2 (January 12 - March 4). Students will be enrolled for all dates. At the end of Session 2, the class will culminate in a presentation of student robots and projects. This is an Extended learning class. Extended Learning classes (ALC) are offered by licensed teachers, incorporate academic state standards, and are free to all participants.

Robotics: GEMS & GISE is Mondays and Wednesdays for the whole school year. Students must attend both days and will be registered for Session 1, 2, and 3 during this registration. Bringing students together for the love of sports and math! Students will play pickleball, disk golf and more while practicing basic math skills during the games. This is an Extended learning class.
