Snowshoe Hike with Sierra Club: BIPOC Centered (Southwest)

Adult Enrichment / Trips, Tours & Special Events -
Adult Enrichment Winter 2026

Ever wanted to know more about snowshoes, and maybe try them out in the snow?

Start the new year off right and join our first snowshoe event of the new year. We will start at the Parking Lot for fitting and instruction, then enjoy a hike (approximately 45 minutes) around the park. Snowshoes and trekking poles (if needed) are provided for use, just make sure to dress for a Minnesota Winter outdoors. We will wrap up back at the Recreation Center with hot drinks and a snack! In the event of inclement weather (below 0 degrees F), we will reschedule the event.

This event centers communities of color. The Sierra Club's goal is to create a welcoming space for communities that are underrepresented outdoors with special events like this one.

If the event is sold out, please add your name to the waitlist. We will contact you if a tickets become available.

Sierra Club

The Sierra Club is the nation's oldest and largest environmental organization. The Sierra Club North Star Chapter was founded in 1968 to represent Minnesota’s community and needs. We organize to bring thousands of Minnesotans together in nature and as a force for nature.

Together we make Minnesota a healthier, more just place—for people and the planet. With over 50,000 supporters and a long history of grassroots leadership, we connect families and communities to the outdoors while advancing bold, equitable climate solutions.
