Add some color to the winter season by painting a bright red cardinal sitting on a snowy branch. You’ll learn easy ways to layer colors, add texture, and create a beautiful winter scene. To make things easier, each 11x14 canvas will have a light sketch already done—so you can focus on painting and making it your own.
Lisa Van Wyk is a fine artist working in oil painting, mixed media, and mosaics. Much of her work in the past few years has been mosaics focusing around nature. Lisa spends a lot of her free time outdoors camping, hiking with her two dogs, and going on canoe and kayak trips which have inspired many of her works of art.
Lisa has been teaching art for over 13 years to creative minds of all ages. Lisa received a BA in Painting from Hamline and a MA in Art Education from the U. of MN. She is co-owner of KidzArt, an art enrichment program that focuses on the creative process and believes that if you can dream you can draw!
