Minneapolis Kids provides year-round, fee-based school-age childcare for families with youth enrolled in High Five/Minneapolis Kids Jr through 5th grade during the school year (entering grades K-7 during the summer).

Jenny Kedward is a wasted food prevention specialist for Hennepin County. She has been talking trash professionally for 18 years and is passionate about waste management and consumption. She gets to focus her work on preventing food waste and feeding people. She chose to get her bachelor’s degree in biology to fully understand the world she wanted to protect. Kedward is trained in social marketing and uses her enthusiasm to educate residents on using the food they have and buying the food they’ll use. Through changing consumption habits and developing a more mindful system, she believes we can protect our air, water, and land.
