Join the park naturalist ate Fort Snelling State Park for their “Maple Syruping in Your Backyard” workshop. The short workshop will go through the process of how to make sweet maple syrup from your own trees. Find out what equipment is required, how to tap trees, and how to process sap into syrup. We will also touch on the history of maple syruping, seasons, and maple tree species.

Place: Fort Snelling State Park, 

We will meet inside the Thomas C. Savage Visitor Center

Address: 101 Snelling Lake Road, St. Paul MN 55111.

**The entrance to Fort Snelling State Park is on highway 5 and Post Road (Adjacent to the MSP International Airport). DO NOT go to the Historic Fort Snelling (Bloomington Road). 

Keep in mind that it will take at least 10-15 minutes to drive from the park’s entrance building (Contact Station) to the Visitor Center. 

NOTE: State Park pass not included. Daily pass is $7 per vehicle.
