Minneapolis Kids provides year-round, fee-based school-age childcare for families with youth enrolled in High Five/Minneapolis Kids Jr through 5th grade during the school year (entering grades K-7 during the summer).

Learn beginning conversational Spanish skills by speaking, reading, writing and listening. This class includes learning to conjugate regular ar/er/ir verbs and the verb “to be” (ser and estar) in the present tense.

Miguel Lima is a Venezuelan educator with over 20 years of teaching experience. He holds a degree in Social Studies and a master’s in Social Communication from the Andrés Bello Catholic University in Caracas.
Passionate about research and the creation of educational and curricular materials, Miguel authored and published three geography textbooks for high school in Venezuela. These books are available for purchase in his home country and are used by schools nationwide, reflecting his dedication to enhancing education through tailored resources.
Since arriving in the United States in 2015, Miguel has taught Social Studies and Spanish in various school districts across Minnesota. In addition, he has worked as a Spanish instructor in Community Education programs, where he has shared his passion for teaching Spanish while building meaningful relationships with his students. For Miguel, teaching goes beyond language; he strives to convey the cultural context and identity that make Spanish a vibrant and diverse language.
With a dynamic and personalized approach, Miguel enjoys transforming each class into a space where students not only learn a language but also explore the richness of Latin American culture. I look forward to meeting you and seeing you soon in my Spanish classes to learn and have fun.
