Minneapolis Kids provides year-round, fee-based school-age care for families with youth enrolled in High Five/Minneapolis Kids Jr through 6th grade during the school year (entering K-7 during the summer).

This class offers an exciting adventure into the world of engineering design and prototyping, which is essential for designing race cars and other vehicles. Students will brainstorm, sketch, build, test, and refine their prototypes, gaining invaluable hands-on experience. Students will have the opportunity to test the limits of all their vehicle designs in various races for speed and challenges designed for distance.
This class is funded through Extended Learning through Minneapolis Public Schools. Every student who is in an Extended Learning class after school must have a Continuous Learning Plan (CLP) that will need to be signed by a Parent/Guardian and returned. Your child's after school teacher will send this form home with your child the first week of class.
