Freeze Fresh: Fruits, Vegetables & Herbs (Edison)

Adult Enrichment / Cooking -
Adult Enrichment Fall 2025

Freezing is a great way to preserve the taste and nutrients of fresh fruits and vegetables, if done correctly. Plus, it’s easier and safer than canning, and can help stretch your dollar by freezing both the produce from your garden (or the farmer’s market) as well as what’s on sale at the grocery store. In this class you will learn what needs to be blanched and what doesn’t, how to prevent freezer burn, proper containers, freezer conditions and other helpful tips for freezing all year round.
