The metaphor 'school to prison pipeline' refers to minor students who are Black (and other minorities) having zero-tolerance policies imposed on them and then being excessively punished (suspended, expelled, etc.) for behavioral issues, ultimately leading them to the road to incarceration.
In this workshop, we will learn, discuss and create new possible policy solutions to dismantle the school to prison pipeline in MN.
A portion of the proceeds will go to support the work of Peace of Hope.
This event will take place at New Branches located at 5011 S 31st Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55417.
If event is sold out, please register for our wait list. We will notify you if tickets become available.
