Yoga Prakasa is an experienced investment professional, educator, and subject matter expert in Islamic Finance, capital markets, and alternative investments. With dual master’s degrees in Business Analytics and Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University, as well as a bachelor’s in Islamic Finance and International Business from Indiana University, he combines rigorous academic training with real-world expertise. His career includes managing portfolios, launching financial products -including Sharia-compliant ones- and advising institutional investors across Indonesia and the US. Yoga’s published research on Islamic Real Estate Investment Trusts and Sharia-compliant ETFs, alongside industry certifications such as CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) and CDIF (CIMA Diploma in Islamic Finance), highlights his deep knowledge of Islamic financial principles, investment analysis, and regulatory frameworks. As an adjunct faculty member at Metro State University and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Johns Hopkins, Yoga excels at making complex financial concepts accessible for diverse audiences. His cross-cultural experience, both as an immigrant and consultant in the US, allows him to address the distinct needs of American learners seeking to understand Islamic Finance, as well as immigrant practitioners looking to integrate their financial lives in the US. Yoga’s teachings are characterized by strong communication skills, practical application, and a commitment to ethical and inclusive financial education.
