Watch and learn soap using the cold process method that has existed for thousands of years. Each student will receive a copy of a manual that includes an ingredient list, equipment list, recipe, method for making soap, and sources for essential oil, ingredients, and equipment. You will also receive soap to take home. Taught by John Hanson, Owner/Maker of Longfellow Soap Company.
John M. Hanson is the founder of the Longfellow Soap Company of Minneapolis, specializing in hand-made, hand-cut, and hand-packaged artisan soaps. Since turning his craft into a business during retirement, his products have become staples at local retailers like Seward and Wedge Coops. He is dedicated to teaching the 4,000-year-old tradition of cold process soap making, demonstrating how accessible and environmentally friendly it is to create high-quality wellness products at home.
