Welcome to the thrilling world of FPV (First-Person View) flying—a high-speed, immersive experience that puts you in the pilot's seat. This course is your gateway into a universe that is equal parts high-adrenaline hobby, in-demand profession, and the bleeding edge of emerging technology. You won't just learn to fly; you'll learn the "how" and "why" behind the hardware. We'll dive deep into the technology, empowering you to select, maintain, and even build your own custom drones. By joining this course, you're not just signing up for a class—you're plugging into a unique and fascinating community of local tech enthusiasts, makers, and pilots.
Participants should bring to class:
- Drone — (must be an FPV drone capable of full manual flight)
- Radio controller — (with a protocol compatible with the drone)
- FPV Goggles — (with a protocol compatible with the drone)
- Batteries — (for your drone, controller, & goggles - They are usually not included.)
If you do not have a drone, please purchase one before the class begins, keeping in mind shipping time, which can take a couple of weeks. Current available minimum pricing as of Nov 2025 is $230 for a complete basic kit.
