Hear Fairy Tales and Fables from a Children's Theatre Company teaching artist! Together, you will explore stories old and new to learn about creatures from enchanted forests, royalty in their castles, and every character in between To ensure that our high-quality enrichment classes are accessible to all families, Minneapolis Community Education is now offering fees on a sliding scale. We're moving to a sliding scale model for program fees so our afterschool programs can be financially sustainable and more equitable. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay or select the no-cost option. We have always offered partial and full scholarships upon request. If you choose to pay above the class cost, you are helping provide opportunities for children in your community that would otherwise be unable to afford them. By more clearly articulating our lower cost options, we have removed the barrier that some may have felt in making these requests. When families participate as they are able, in all levels of our sliding scale, the whole program becomes self-sustaining.

A time to get to know other students at the school and find connections with new friends! With Ms. McCann, we will play games and work through some team challenges to better get to know one another. We will play whole group games, board games and some of the team challenges might include building things together out various supplies/materials. Join Ms. McCann on a fun-filled after-school adventure! Students will review and reinforce skills they learned in class with projects involving phonics, math games, read alouds, and social skills.
