    Metal Detecting 1 (Summer)

    An introductory class on how to use a metal detector - Learn how they operate, their uses, and what types of things you can find. Cover municipal regulations, best practices and courtesies, and how exactly to interpret what each beep means. From relic hunting to coin collecting, trying to find lost keys to finding the edge of a property line, Metal Detecting is a fantastic hobby with a wide range of uses. Participants will receive an overview of the above, followed by time to put it to practice and go on a hunt of their own! Each student will get an individual metal detector and free reign to explore and hunt. A staff will be present to assist and answer any questions during this period. Metal Detectors are quite light, weighing less than 3 pounds. Frequent standing/sitting/kneeling is expected for this activity. If the class is full, please sign up on the waitlist.
