Photography Interests:
Experience;
I became interested in photography during my Junior high school days (70-72), and made the transition from print film to digital Photography in 1999. However, I still worked with print media up until 2002. My primary photography focus is Natural light and lowlight. My photography pursuits have lead me entering several online photography competitions, Capture Minnesota, Kelby worldwide Photo Walk (Minneapolis MN winner 2003) and Dpreview’s photo challenge, as well as concert venues and street photography. My goal is to capture the subject’s true likeness with minimal aid from digital tools such as Photoshop, LightRoom or Elements the true nature of the scene. However, I find these applications useful and have an in-depth background with all three. My primary equipment is Canon although I have shot with Nikon, Olympus, Mamiya and Fuji to name a few. I found that shooting across photography platforms has improved my strengths as a photography instructor.
