Jump into the fast-paced, confidence-building world of improv comedy! In this highly interactive class, students learn the fundamentals of improvisation through short-form games, collaborative exercises, and fun icebreakers. We’ll explore core improv principles like “yes, and,” active listening, commitment, stage presence, and scene work—skills that build creativity, confidence, and teamwork both on and off the stage. The course culminates in a live improv performance where students put their new skills into action and celebrate their growth

To ensure that our high-quality enrichment classes are accessible to all families, Minneapolis Community Education is now offering fees on a sliding scale. We're moving to a sliding scale model for program fees so our afterschool programs can be financially sustainable and more equitable. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay or select the no-cost option. We have always offered partial and full scholarships upon request. By more clearly articulating our lower cost options, we have removed the barrier that some may have felt in making these requests. When families participate as they are able, in all levels of our sliding scale, the whole program becomes self-sustaining.
