    Why not start summer early? Community Education is making it's return to IN - PERSON programming at Dowling with our Summer Sampler. The Summer Sampler will be a May session of in-person after school programming with classes being held outdoors (weather permitting) on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3:15 - 5:00 pm. All classes are open to grades K - 5. Each day will highlight a different offering from our extensive summer catalogue. So if you're still thinking about what you want to do this summer, sign up for the Summer Samper. Here’s you chance to try out some of our offerings. Free of charge! There will be no transportation provided for after school offerings during May. Students must be parent pick up or walk home. Monday Tuesday 5/3-5/4 Run, Jump, Go: Let’s get active with organized games and teacher-led free play! This class gives kids the opportunity to safely meet others, play games, and just have some active fun. Forest Friends: Spend the day outside in the forest. See what you can find in the forest as you discover new things together with other nature lovers. 5/10-5/11 Sports Spectacular: Build physical, teamwork and leadership skills through your favorite sports. Outdoor Adventures: This class will be a combination of outdoor games and daily adventures that we create together! Scavenger hunts, bird watching, looking for bugs, and outdoor art. 5/17-5/18 Harry Potter the Early Years: Revisit Harry Potter during his early years at Hogwarts. Make a wand, brew new and improved potions and play quidditch, Messy Science: Make slimy concoctions, do wacky experiments, and discover amazing facts about real scientists, animals and plants. 5/24-5/25 Camp Out!: If you love adventure and the outdoors, join us to discover all the ways you can incorporate the outdoors into everyday life. Explore the life of a camper. Olympic Sports: Let the games begin! Activities include zany games, fun competition and a closing ceremony!
