Minneapolis Kids provides year-round, fee-based, school-age childcare for families with youth enrolled in High Five/Minneapolis Kids Jr through 5th grade during the school year (entering grades K-7 during the summer).
Teen Parent Services is dedicated to keeping teen parents on the track to graduation by providing them with parenting education and supports while providing high-quality early childhood education services to their children.

Imagine a club where students are excited to read and create! In this after school club, we will draw inspiration from our favorite graphic novels, comics, and illustrated short stories to create our own original narratives.
Do you love adventurous stories about spell casters and dragon riders? Or maybe you're drawn to the sharp humor of a comic strip? Are stories about friendship drama at school more your thing? We will explore all of these interests and more!
Each session we will dive into some of the most popular and critically acclaimed illustrated tales like Smile by Reina Telgemeier, Amulet by Kazu Kibuishi, and Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson. We will all get to share our favorites and get to know new stories. Then get ready to share ideas, brainstorm, and create!
To ensure that our high-quality enrichment classes are accessible to all families, Minneapolis Community Education is now offering fees on a sliding scale. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay or select the no-cost option. We have always offered partial and full scholarships upon request. If you choose to pay above the class cost, you are helping provide opportunities for children in your community that would otherwise be unable to afford them. By more clearly articulating our lower cost options, we have removed the barrier that some may have felt in making these requests. When families participate as they are able, in all levels of our sliding scale, the whole program becomes self-sustaining.
